With regards to the former, I am proud to say that we have ended the semester on a good note, with an average GPA of 3.0 thereabouts within the club. The freshmen, in particular, generally met or surpassed their cohort average, and, not to be outdone, us sophomores did well enough to be right on track for promotion to juniors next year, which can only mean one thing: that we can continue to channel the entirety of our energies into what is now a way of life for us – Judo!
As for the latter, an equally heartwarmingly exciting piece of news awaits: despite having ended the first 三商合宿 for the year, during which we usually experience some weight (and/or muscle) loss as a result of the intensive back-to-back morning and afternoon training sessions, the majority of us did not experience a drop in our 2RMs, showing marked improvement instead!
Paying especial heed to the Load = 4 x Body Weight target set by our coach, that milestone seems much less faraway now! 2 months can make a world of difference between scrawny and ripped, so keep checking back here for more updates as we continue plowing ahead in the endless march towards fitter bodies and finer spirits!
